Without the Light, Darkness Will Rule

A Short note to remind us that we’re not all that we know about ourselves.

We Are Born Whole

But in the process of growing up, more and more, we let the environment, society, or culture — the collective unconscious, as per Jungian’s term, demand us to be the way we should be, act in the way we should act.

We forget who we once were. Our whole is divided into an ego (the part we know of ourselves), and the shadow (the suppressed, hidden, or not been entered with the light of consciousness). The shadow functions autonomously, a monster that lies idle within our psychic house, waiting to roar.

By the time we arrive at adulthood, our egos and shadows are clearly defined, and not much can change without the drive and courage to self-actualize your true Self.

Have you experienced an overpowering rage that seems to erupt so fast without noticing? And you wonder what has got into you?

Nothing. But it’s what within you wants to come out.

This is just one example of many intense experiences sent from the important part of us that is dormant, unnoticed, or unused. The shadow.

One thing about this dark place in us is that it’s not a place that houses only the malicious monster or hidden evil, about who we are. The golden side, the sunshine of our personality, may also be kept in the dark as it can find no place in your world.

Our Hidden Gems

Can you relate to any of this👇?

Assertiveness is considered rude in some cultures. To survive, we suppress it, even when it can work magic regarding effective communication.

Courage and strength are unfortunately forbidden for women in some cultures. To survive, they mute their voices.

Vulnerability is a taboo for most men, regardless of culture.
Authenticity can mean being self-centered to some society.

Creativity often goes unnoticed because we fear criticism and failure from our peers. Fear is our shadow.

And what do we do to survive? We hide these good qualities, our gold.

Our Mission

We are to enter the dark side of our psyche and shine the light of consciousness on it. Look in there, reveal everything you see, and own it — regardless of light or dark.

It’s the simple first step to self-actualize, a profound spiritual and psychological discipline. Making ourselves whole again is where our Home is.

Make this a crucial life task to achieve. To live a fulfilling and meaningful life, with who you truly are.
